Hair Conditioner
Conditioner isn't optional, and it isn't for women.
Most Egyptian men skip it. It's the single biggest reason men's hair looks dry, dull and frizzy while women's doesn't — and it has nothing to do with the hair itself.
Here's what actually happens in the shower. Shampoo lifts the outer layer of every hair to clean underneath it. That layer is supposed to close again afterward. Without conditioner it doesn't — it stays raised, which is what frizz is, and what makes hair look dull instead of shiny. Raised, exposed hair also snaps easily.
Conditioner closes it back down. That's the whole job. Two minutes, and it's the difference between hair that looks washed and hair that looks looked after.
What it does
- Softens — coarse, wiry hair comes out manageable instead of stiff
- Kills the frizz — by closing the cuticle the shampoo just opened
- Detangles — so the comb glides instead of tearing
- Adds real shine — smooth hair reflects light, rough hair doesn't. That's all shine is
- Strengthens against breakage — coconut, argan and shea butter reinforce the hair instead of leaving it exposed
- Rehydrates — replaces what heat, sun, chlorine and hard water pull out every day
It's how you keep length
If you're trying to grow your hair out, this matters more than anything else you can buy.
Hair grows at a fixed rate you can't change. What you can change is how much of it survives. Dry, unconditioned hair snaps mid-length and splits at the ends, so you lose from the bottom roughly as fast as you gain from the top — and it feels like your hair simply won't grow past a certain point.
Condition every wash and the hair holds together. Same growth rate, far less loss, and after a few months noticeably more length and thickness through the ends.
Key ingredients
- Coconut Oil — penetrates the hair shaft and reduces protein loss during washing
- Argan Oil — softens, smooths and adds shine without weight
- Shea Butter — seals in moisture and protects against heat and sun
Suitable for all hair types. Light enough for fine hair, rich enough for thick or curly.
How to use
- Shampoo first, then squeeze the excess water out of your hair. Conditioner can't get in if the hair is already full of water.
- Apply through the mid-lengths and ends, not the scalp. Your roots make their own oil; the ends are what's starving.
- Leave two minutes.
- Rinse with cool water. It closes the cuticle tighter and it's where most of the shine comes from.
Every time you shampoo. No exceptions — the two are one step, not two products.
The maths
A 300ml bottle lasts around three months. Roughly 4 EGP a wash for the step that decides how your hair looks the other six days.
