Tanning Oil
A tan you keep. A burn you don't.
Everyone knows the pattern. Day one at the coast you go too hard, day two you're red and sore, and by the end of the week you're peeling — taking the colour off with it. You come home from a week in Sahel roughly the same shade you left.
Burning doesn't build a tan. It destroys one.
This oil is built the other way round. SPF 20 slows the burn while the formula deepens the colour, so you tan gradually and evenly — and it stays, because the skin underneath is intact instead of shedding.
Why the SPF matters
Most tanning oils have little or no protection at all. The logic is that less protection means faster colour, and it's true for about four hours — right up until you burn, and then you're indoors for two days.
SPF 20 buys you the time your skin needs. Melanin — the pigment that makes a tan — takes hours to develop. Protected skin can stay out long enough to actually produce it. Unprotected skin burns before it gets there.
Slower is deeper, more even, and it lasts.
What it does
- Builds a deep, even golden tan — no patches, no streaks
- SPF 20 — moderate protection while you're in the sun
- Deeply hydrates — coconut oil keeps skin soft, and hydrated skin holds a tan far longer than dry skin
- Nourishes as it works — banana and carrot extracts feed the skin through long sun exposure
- Non-greasy finish — absorbs properly, doesn't coat you in a layer that catches sand
- Unisex — same formula, works for everyone
Key ingredients
- Banana Extract — nourishes and supports a deeper, more even colour
- Coconut Oil — intense hydration, which is what makes a tan last past the week
- Carrot Extract — rich in the nutrients that enhance and warm the tone of a tan
How to use
- Apply generously and evenly to clean, dry skin about 20 minutes before you go out.
- Cover everything — shoulders, ears, the tops of your feet, the back of your neck. These are the spots people miss and then regret.
- Reapply every two hours, and immediately after swimming or towelling off. SPF doesn't survive water.
- Rinse off at the end of the day and moisturise. Hydrated skin holds colour; dry skin flakes it away.
Using it sensibly
SPF 20 is moderate protection, not full protection, and Egyptian summer sun is about as strong as sun gets.
- Stay out of the direct sun between 11am and 3pm. That's when UV peaks, and it's when almost all burning happens.
- Build up gradually. Short sessions across several days beat one long one — and the colour is better for it.
- Don't fall asleep in the sun. Obvious, and it's still how most people get badly burnt.
- For long exposure or very fair skin, layer a higher SPF over the top, or use this outside peak hours only.
- If your skin goes red, tight or sore, get out of the sun. That's a burn starting, and pushing through it costs you the tan.
The maths
A 200ml bottle covers a full season — roughly eight to twelve days at the coast with proper reapplication. Buy it before you travel, not from a beach shop at triple the price.
Size: 200 ml · SPF 20 · Made in Egypt
ISO 22716-certified facility · Approved by the Egyptian Drug Authority
Backed by our 90-day money-back guarantee
Pairs with
Ocean Drift Shower Gel to clear the salt, sand and oil at the end of the day without stripping your skin — the wash matters as much as the oil, because dry skin loses a tan faster than anything else.
