Oil or balm — which do you actually need?
The honest answer for most men is both, and here's why they're not the same product:

If your beard is under a month old and the problem is itch, start with oil. If your beard is past that and the problem is that it won't behave, you need balm. Past two months, use both — oil first on damp skin, balm after, and nothing else does what those two do together.

How to use
- Scoop a small amount with your thumbnail — start with less than you think, especially the first week.
- Warm it between your palms until it melts and turns clear.
- Work it through the beard, from the roots outward, then down to the ends.
- Shape with a brush or comb. Brush downward for a clean line, or with the grain for volume.
Best applied to a clean, dry or slightly damp beard. Once in the morning is enough for most men. If you've used oil first, let it absorb for a minute before the balm goes on.
